The Interim Government of Bangladesh, as a part of its reform initiatives in the power and energy sector, has repealed the Quick Enhancement of Electricity and Energy Supply (Special Provision) Act, established in 2010. As a result, public procurement in the power and energy sector will be conducted according to the Public Procurement Act (PPA) and Public Procurement Rule (PPR).
