DECATUR, Ga. — There was a heated back and forth Friday between parents and a local school board. They don’t see eye to eye on a $23 million early childhood learning center in Decatur. Channel 2’s Audrey Washington was there as the school board voted “no” on a referendum. Emotions were high inside the special called board meeting Friday afternoon. Right now, the City Schools of Decatur and the people who live in the area are at odds over how to fund the center.

ATLANTA — It was a major win for Pinky Cole as a judge ordered creditors to turn over a home they seized from the Slutty Vegan restaurant founder. “I feel relieved that the court gave me authority to reclaim my property,” Cole told Channel 2’s Audrey Washington on Thursday afternoon. As we reported previously, Cole filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February.

‘Atlanta-Conda’: 8-foot python spotted on Beltline Original

Video captured a man handling an 8- to 10-foot python found along the Atlanta Beltline, but environmental officials are warning the public against handling wildlife they find. A Georgia Department of Natural Resources official told Channel 2’s Audrey Washington that even though people in the footage laughed, it could have quickly become dangerous.
