7 DISCUSSION We examined the impact of messaging about CBT, ADM, and combination treatment on credibility of and expectations for these treatments. With the sole exception of the credibility of combination treatment, we found evidence to support our hypotheses that participants who view a video about a treatment option would report higher credibility of and expectations for that option as compared with the no message control condition.
