1 Introduction Breast cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women worldwide, with approximately 2.3 million new diagnoses and 685,000 deaths reported in 2020 [1-4]. In Italy alone, an estimated 55,000 new cases are reported annually [5]. Established risk factors include advanced age, family history, and hereditary genetic mutations [5]. However, obesity has emerged as a major modifiable risk factor influencing both the incidence and progression of breast cancer.
