It will boost spending for core parts of county government including behavioral health, public safety and capital projects. The spending package is not without controversy, however.

Despite being treated by his parents, his legs quickly turned black from sepsis. Doctors gave him a one percent chance of living and the decision was made to amputate his legs. Now eight-years-old, Beauden is playing baseball and riding Jetskis.
