Bishop hit the railing while falling into the dugout. He was stabilized on a board by medical professionals and placed in an ambulance.

Southern Columbia wins PIAA 2A baseball title over Mercyhurst Prep

High School Sports Published: Jun. 11, 2026, 4:59 p.m. The Southern Columbia baseball team won the PIAA Class 2A championship Thursday with a 9-2 victory over Mercyhurst Prep at Penn State’s Medlar Field. It’s the program’s second state title. SC won the 1A title in 2000. Levi Everitt got the pitching win with a complete game, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out seven.
