Have you ever used a typewriter?

I have! I've played with a typewriter, and while I didn't play it had the joy of performing the beloved piece "The Typewriter" in orchestra.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I'm very proud of my independent work, with the rise in layoffs from major publications building a body of enjoyed work allowed me to grow.

What's your favorite drink?

Iced peppermint green tea with mango or peach nectar.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That pop culture journalism is vapid, and leads to reporting that doesn't truly serve the public.
