I'm Avery, I have a bachelors in professional and technical writing with minors in journalism and digital production. I consider myself a full service audio journalist, editor and digital producer. I began my career in journalism when I began working for my local AM radio station in 2018, since then I have held roles in production, editing and assistant management.

Album: Ain’t It Nice Artist: Mal Blum Genre: #Alternate#Indie#Country Sub-Genres: #AntiFolk#Rock#FolkPunk#Americana Label: Terrorbird Ain’t It Nice is Blum’s blend of indie and Americana, taking on this air of instant nostalgia and warmth. I love how I could naturally feel any song on this album playing distantly in the background of a radio. This album in particular stands out, as knowing Blum’s voice has dropped lower since his last release, gives such a tender quality to the sound overall.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

I have! I've played with a typewriter, and while I didn't play it had the joy of performing the beloved piece "The Typewriter" in orchestra.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I'm very proud of my independent work, with the rise in layoffs from major publications building a body of enjoyed work allowed me to grow.

What's your favorite drink?

Iced peppermint green tea with mango or peach nectar.
