1 Introduction Reelin is a large extracellular matrix protein with a major function in neuronal migration and positioning, especially in the early developing brain [1-5]. Reeler mice have a mutation in the reelin gene, responsible for the proper production of the protein Reelin [6]. As a result, Reeler mice have a strong disturbance in mainly laminar structures of the brain where neurons inhabit erroneous positions due to disturbed migration.
