1. Introduction The bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) family are known as epigenetic readers to regulate gene transcription. It has four members in mammals, i.e., bromodomain-containing protein 2, 3, 4 (BRD2, BRD3, and BRD4) and testis-specific BRDT. BET proteins have several conserved domains. All BET members share two tandem N-terminal bromodomains (BDs) and one C-terminal extra-terminal (ET) domain.
