Switching to an electric vehicle is a great way to shield yourself from rising fuel prices. The sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series station wagon, or the 5 Series Touring as it is known in Europe, comes with a big surprise—an all-electric version. Called the i5 Touring, this new electric station wagon is based on the same underpinnings as the i5 sedan currently on sale in the States. Two models are available: a single-motor eDrive 40 with 340 horsepower and multiple packages and a dual-motor M60 xDrive with 601 horses. The latter can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds.

Porsche has taken the curtains off the 2025 Taycan Turbo GT, the new top dog in the Taycan lineup. The high-performance electric vehicle arrives with a bang on the world stage, emerging as the fastest production EV around the iconic Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca. With Porsche development driver Lars Kern behind the wheel, the new Taycan GT with the Weissach package posted a lap time of 1:27.87. This new lap record follows his 7:07.55 time in a pre-production model around the Nordschleife in 2022.
