A Lightweight and Efficient Insulator Defect Detection Model for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Inspection
1 Introduction With the continuous growth of global electricity demand, the safe operation of the power transmission systems has become a key factor in ensuring the stability of power supply. As a critical component of transmission lines, the insulator serves the dual functions of electrical insulation and mechanical support, and its performance directly affects the reliability of power grids [1].
Silver nanoparticles supported on chitosan-glutaraldehyde polymers as an efficient and robust heterogeneous catalyst for direct synthesis of propargylamines
Introduction Propargylamine represents a significant component in a variety of biologically active natural substances and can serve as a crucial intermediate in the production of numerous bioactive compounds [1]. Propargylamine derivatives have also been employed as foundational materials for the generation of heterocycles like quinolones [2], pyrroles [3], phenanthrolines [4], indolizines [5], pyrrolidines [6], and oxazolidinone derivatives [7].
Reversible control over the distribution of chemical inhomogeneities in multiferroic BiFeO3 - Nature Communications
Abstract Despite the appeal of flawless order, semiconductor technology has demonstrated that implanting inhomogeneities into single-crystalline materials is pivotal for modern electronics. However, the influence of the local arrangement of chemical inhomogeneities on the material’s functionalities is underexplored. In this work, we control the distribution of chemical inhomogeneities in La3+-substituted ferroelectric BiFeO3 thin films.
Synergetic catalytic effect in functionalized HP-MOF system for boosted catalytic performances
Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are a class of crystalline inorganic–organic hybrid porous coordination polymers that show promising potential across a diverse range of applications, including gas/small molecule purification/separation [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], catalysis [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], sensing [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18], [19], [20], energy storage [21], [22], [23], [24], and drug delivery [25], [26], [27], [28], [29].
The quantum twisting microscope - Nature
Abstract The invention of scanning probe microscopy revolutionized the way electronic phenomena are visualized1. Whereas present-day probes can access a variety of electronic properties at a single location in space2, a scanning microscope that can directly probe the quantum mechanical existence of an electron at several locations would provide direct access to key quantum properties of electronic systems, so far unreachable.
Direct observation of vortices in an electron fluid - Nature
Abstract Vortices are the hallmarks of hydrodynamic flow. Strongly interacting electrons in ultrapure conductors can display signatures of hydrodynamic behaviour, including negative non-local resistance1,2,3,4, higher-than-ballistic conduction5,6,7, Poiseuille flow in narrow channels8,9,10 and violation of the Wiedemann–Franz law11. Here we provide a visualization of whirlpools in an electron fluid.

CNN-based qualitative detection of bone mineral density via diagnostic CT slices for osteoporosis screening
Abstract Summary The features extracted from diagnostic computed tomography (CT) slices were used to qualitatively detect bone mineral density (BMD) through neural network models, and the evaluation results indicated that it may be a promising approach to perform osteoporosis screening in clinical practice.
Full-Scale Measurements of Wind Pressures on a Low-Rise Building during Typhoons and Comparison with Wind Tunnel Test Results and Aerodynamic Database | Journal of Structural Engineering | Vol 146, No 10
Downloaded 0 times Technical Papers Abstract This study investigated wind-induced pressures on an instrumented low-rise building with gable roof and roof overhang during Typhoons Mujigae and Sarika by means of full-scale measurements. Then, detailed wind tunnel tests on a 1∶100 scale model of the instrumented building were performed under different upstream exposure conditions.

Giant intrinsic spin Hall effect in W3Ta and other A15 superconductors
Abstract The spin Hall effect (SHE) is the conversion of charge current to spin current, and nonmagnetic metals with large SHEs are extremely sought after for spintronic applications, but their rarity has stifled widespread use. Here, we predict and explain the large intrinsic SHE in β-W and the A15 family of superconductors: W3Ta, Ta3Sb, and Cr3Ir having spin Hall conductivities (SHCs) of −2250, −1400, and 1210 ℏe(S/cm), respectively.

HLA-DQA1-HLA-DRB1 polymorphism is a major predictor of azathioprine-induced pancreatitis in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
Azathioprine (AZA)-induced pancreatitis is an unpredictable and dose-independent adverse event affecting 2%-7% of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients treated with AZA. There are no tools in clinical practice to identify at-risk individuals; however, a genome wide association study (GWAS) identified a strong association between the Class II HLA gene region polymorphism (rs2647087) and thiopurine-induced pancreatitis.
