A brand new backpack. Shiny school supplies. A haircut that says “I’m ready to take on the world.” This is exactly what non-profit Voices of Change’s fifth annual Back to School Bash aims to provide for K-12 students in Elizabethtown. This year’s event, which will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Wesley Hilltop House, hopes to serve more students than last year while having a blast with community members. Campground closure contributes to decline in visitor spending

Kentucky’s 2025 Tourism visitor spending numbers are in, reflecting overall growth throughout the Southern Lakes and Rivers region. Only one area’s visitor spending declined: Taylor County, home to Campbellsville and Green River Lake State Park.
