Fundamental solution of diffusion equation for Kappa gas: Diffusion length for suprathermal electrons in solar wind

Abstract A recent numerical treatment of data obtained by the Parker Solar Probe spacecraft describes the electron concentration in solar wind as a function of the heliocentric distance based on a Kappa distribution with spectral index κ=5. In this work, we derive and, subsequently, solve an entirely different class of nonlinear partial differential equations describing the one-dimensional diffusion of a suprathermal gas.
