A 64-year-old man involved in an August 2025 shooting on N. Caroline Street is set to serve 20 years after pleading guilty to attempted murder and firearm use on June 9. Bobbie Williams was initially charged with attempted murder, firearm use, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and multiple firearms offenses in connection to the shooting, which occurred Aug. 24, 2025 on the 800 block of N. Caroline Street.

After jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict in a non-fatal shooting, Baltimore City Circuit Judge Alan Lazerow declared a mistrial and a retrial will be scheduled on July 21.

On Feb. 9, defense attorney Augestine Okeke stood before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Cynthia H. Jones and withdrew from a murder case after numerous disagreements with the defendant, 22-year-old Tamal Johnson. Johnson has been charged with two first-degree murder charges and three firearm charges after being arrested on May 22, 2025 for fatally shooting Taniya Gray, 23, on the 4100 block of Mountwood Ave.
