Barbara JoAnn Koenig, 84, passed away at 6:34 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri of complications from a stroke. She was born in Fieldon, Illinois on December 8, 1940, one of three children born to Cornelius “Colonel” and Mary (Walz) Halter. With four children by her side, she met the love of her life, Harold Joseph Koenig, they married on May 26, 1973 in Jerseyville…what was he thinking.

Abstract It has been suggested that diagnostic yield (DY) from Exome Sequencing (ES) may be lower among patients with non-European ancestries than those with European ancestry. We examined the association of DY with estimated continental/subcontinental genetic ancestry in a racially/ethnically diverse pediatric and prenatal clinical cohort. Cases (N = 845) with suspected genetic disorders underwent ES for diagnosis.
