PUTNAM PARK IS HOME TO ALL. Recent Memorial High School grad Noah Sylvester photographed the grand prize-winning image of the Friends of Putnam Park's first nature photo contest. Later this year, a calendar will be created and sold with the top 13 submissions.

Josephine's Pastaria is the first new Italian-style restaurant to open in the Chippewa Falls area in some time, boasting allergen-friendly dishes (as most of the ownership's family, pictured, have food allergies) and a family-friendly atmosphere. Stepping inside the doors of Josephine’s Pastaria (17158 Co Hwy J, Suite E, Chippewa Falls) this July was a welcome reprieve from the 90-degree temperature and harsh wildfire smoke in the air.

SUPPORTING YOUR OWN. Harlie Juedes grew up on a cattle farm in Dunn County, learning the ropes of hard work and self-employment early in life. Today, she is an entrepreneur herself – something that significantly supports her role as director of the Small Business Development Center in Eau Claire, for which she was recently awarded.
