1. Introduction Cellulose, an almost inexhaustible polymeric raw material produced by nature, has been widely used in various fields for thousands of years. It is a linear polysaccharide of α-D-glucose that assembles into nanofibers through multiple hydrogen bonding; the nanofibers are further organized to achieve a well-defined hierarchically fibrous structure with a large surface area [1,2].
