3.1. CH4 Emissions Decreasing from the SoCAB, Consistent with Past Studies Using the CARB CO inventory alongside in situ airborne CH 4 and CO measurements, total CH 4 emissions from the SoCAB were 303 ± 63 Gg/year in 2010, 196 ± 39 Gg/year in 2019, and 210 ± 42 Gg/year in 2023 ( Figure 4 a and Table S5 ).
