1. Introduction Populations of various heterogenous, nano-sized, membrane-bound extracellular vesicles are increasingly becoming the focus of regenerative medicine as they contain bioactive lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids [1]. While some populations of these vesicles are found in biological fluids, similar vesicles, termed matrix vesicles (MVs), are also present in the extracellular matrix (ECM) of mineralizing tissues like growth plate cartilage, bone, and dentine.
