4. Materials and Methods 4.1. Comparison of Peptide Sequences by Bioinformatics Approach The software used for this study is the Protein Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST® version 2.9.0+), which is freely available online at the following site: https://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi (consulted on 24 July 2023). The two proteins studied are Bovine hemoglobin, a model protein of our laboratory, the Charles Violette Institute, BioEcoAgro laboratory, and human hemoglobin.
