1. Introduction According to the Global Cancer Observatory, in 2020, pancreatic cancer ranked as the 12th most common cancer for incidence and the 7th in terms of annual number of deaths worldwide [1]. Incidence and mortality have shown an increasing trend in recent years [2], and pancreatic cancer will become the second cause of cancer-related death by 2030 in the United States [3].
