Introduction White phosphorus (P4) is a demanded and demanding starting material as in industry as in academic research. In production, it is mainly used to obtain high-purity organophosphorus and inorganic phosphorus compounds[1] whereas research focuses on the activation of the P4 tetrahedron[2-6] and thus the direct use of P4 for commercial products.[7-10] Due to the extreme reactivity of solid P4, both its stabilization and storage are of great importance.
