1 Introduction Despite significant advancements in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in recent years, the global cancer burden remains significant. Cancer treatment remains a significant challenge, particularly addressing cancer progression, recurrence, drug resistance, and metastasis, which are associated with poor prognosis (1). Ample evidence indicates that cancer stem cells (CSCs) play a crucial role in these processes (2).
