1. Introduction Ukraine, as an active member of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), was among the first nations on the European continent to ratify the Paris Agreement on 14 July 2016 and the Kyoto Protocol on 4 February 2004. Ukraine, as a candidate for accession to the European Union (EU), aims to align with EU climate goals, including the European Climate Law’s target of climate neutrality by 2050 and a 55% greenhouse gas emissions reduction by 2030.
