LETTER TO THE EDITORS PDF ShareShare EDITORS, In their study, Rich et al1 analysed 1110 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) admitted in two US hospitals and found an association between female gender and early stage at diagnosis, better response to treatment and lower mortality (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] 0.82, 95% CI 0.68‐0.98).
