When a resident at one of Signature HealthCARE’s skilled nursing facilities is identified as a high fall risk, a physician order is placed, a nursing call goes out, and within hours, a virtual sitter is watching that resident’s room on a screen, alongside seven others. That observer is on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When the resident reaches for the bed rail or swings their legs over the side, the virtual sitter alerts the on-site team.
