1. Introduction Social farming is defined as a local development practice that is socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable and offers services aimed at pursuing the well-being of the entire citizenry (National Forum on Social Farming, 2012). This definition arises from the concept of multifunctionality, according to which the agricultural sector extends beyond the “traditional” function of producing goods made for the market.
