1. Introduction Osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are the two main diseases that affect bone and cartilage [1]. RA is a chronic, inflammatory, and autoimmune disease that causes disability, systemic complications, and early death [2]. The etiopathogenesis of RA is characterized by synovial inflammation and synovial hyperplasia, ultimately leading to the destruction of bone and cartilage [3].
