After publication of this article [1], the authors discovered that the infant’s ‘whole blood folate’ concentrations in [1] were incorrectly referred to as ‘red cell folate’ throughout the manuscript. Here, the authors have provided additional information to clarify these issues: The authors measured whole blood folate by using the microbiological assay, and have corrected for the dilution factor only.

1. Introduction Chylous leakage (CL) is a pathological status in which chylomicron fluid leaks from the lymphatic vessels (1). CL is commonly associated with surgical trauma, abdominal malignancies, cirrhosis, and infection (2–4). In clinical settings, CL occurs mostly in patients after surgical trauma, and the incidence of CL is higher in tumor resection with lymphadenectomy (5). The incidence of CL after thyroid surgery is approximately 0.5–1.4% (6, 7).
