Domain Swapping in Abiotic Foldamers

Driven by curiosity and creativity, chemists have demonstrated that some folding patterns found in peptides and proteins can be reproduced in completely abiotic oligomers, that is, synthetic molecules chemically remote from aliphatic peptides. Abiotic oligomers also have features of their own, such as folding in organic medium, that can be put to an advantage.
