Barbie Boy

A truly perfect true-crime documentary! I don’t think it has much rewatch value but this horror doc. most-certainly deserves ALL THE PRAISE in the world.

I consider The Collector himself to be an ultimate villain. This film is an elite mouse trap, catch and kill horror gem. Very early 2000s vibes combined with top tier soundtracks and scores! This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat and in a constant state of anxiety with nail-biting tension. Arkin O’Brien is a FINAL GUY that you want to root for. He’s such a bad-ass and cool character!

This was a great, almost-flawless horror film! The first and middle act are perfection. The movie lost me during the final act which personally really limits the rewatch value for me. I would LOVE to see a prequel to this film. Show us how Mr. Reed came to be who we meet in this movie. Show us other religious test subjects that never made it out of his holy saw trapped-house! There’s a lot of unexplored things you could do for a prequel.
