1. Introduction Palpation is one of the oldest examination techniques. It plays an essential role in the diagnosis of soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system, being one of the basic skills of a physiotherapist [1]. Its use is extensive, including the assessment of the consistency, smoothness, displacement, or extensibility of the examined tissue or the temperature and moisture of the body surface. The painfulness of the studied area can also be estimated based on the patient’s reaction.
