Extracting Mechanistic Information from an Open Data Set for a Pharma-Relevant Suzuki–Miyaura Cross-Coupling Reaction
Experimental Assessment of the Richardson–Sach SMCC Reaction (7) and Profiling Side-Products/Byproducts We began experimentally testing the SMCC reactions (outlined in Scheme 1 ) using batch reaction screening methodologies, including reactions conducted ‘one at a time’ in a standard round-bottomed flask and 12-position reaction carousel. It became apparent that side reactions were operating for the reactions tested in our hands, particularly in the presence of air.
