1 Introduction Amidinate (N,N′-diisopropylacetamidinate = DIA) complexes of Group 9 and 10 metals are notable molecular precursors to prepare supported nanoparticles across host carriers, for example, SiO2 and Al2O3, as well as carbons [1-6]. The first step in this synthetic process is the grafting of the molecular precursor on the surface functionalities of the support, usually surface OH groups.
