Abstract Improving the diets of women of reproductive age living in Mumbai slums may benefit their own health and that of their children. Our objective was to identify diet patterns in this population group. Participants were married women (n = 6513) aged <40 years enroled in a randomised controlled trial of a food-based intervention. We collected dietary data at the time of enrolment using a 212-item food frequency questionnaire.

There is no simple narrative about water in the State of Palestine. It’s one about Gaza, But for a child – or a family — it’s access to safe water that ultimately matters. In Gaza, there is an acute water crisis. Over 95 percent of households have a tap where clean water once flowed, but today the water is no longer safe to drink. In the last 15 years, the situation in Gaza has gone from bad to worse: only one in 10 households now has direct access to safe water.

The GloboDiet methodology designed for nutritional research and surveillance based on the 24-h dietary recall is a tool that has, initially, been used to collect dietary consumption data in the EPIC study.
