Abstract: Ascending aortic pseudoaneurysm is a rare, life-threatening complication of cardiac surgery. Surgical management is recommended, however, transcatheter techniques offer a less invasive alternative. We describe successful percutaneous closure in a patient with high surgical risk, guided by multi-modality imaging. Clinical Summary: A 76-year-old female with progressive fatigue and dyspnea in recent months was referred to our hospital due to a widened mediastinum on chest radiograph.

Abstract The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has placed pressure on health care systems and intensive care unit capacity worldwide. Respiratory insufficiency is the most common reason for hospital admission in patients with COVID-19. The most severe form of respiratory failure is acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which is associated with significant morbidity and mortality.
