I've been a best-selling author since the first book I wrote. The book wasn't a best seller, but somehow I was. Almost everyone introducing me at speaking engagements, on radio interviews and definitely on TV appearances, completely unprompted, added the phrase "best-selling" to my introduction. It's like they assume that every author is a best seller. Even when I specifically told them my book wasn't a best seller, it crept in. My first book was about — wait for it — Yellow Pages advertising.

I've been asked several times to write a wedding ceremony. I've even been offered money. ($13.75 is money.) So, here it is. Sort of. Due to space limitations, I couldn't cram it all in. Your officiant can wing the ending. Or you can work in your customized vows. "For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health" all sound nice. But listing annual income requirements, and specific physical standards to be met, gives you an escape hatch in case your dreamboat becomes a shipwreck.
