The Nitrogen Mustards

The nitrogen mustards have a key role in the treatment of hematologic malignancies. The MOPP (mechlorethamine, vincristine, procarbazine, and prednisone) regimen is still used in HL, and mechlorethamine is used as a topical treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (Liner et al., 2018). Chlorambucil was the first successful cytotoxic for CLL, and it also has efficacy in NHL. Cyclophosphamide is also employed in the treatment of CLL and NHL, as well as multiple myeloma and HL.

The chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) and 7 (CXCR7) are G-protein-coupled receptors involved in various diseases including human cancer. As such, they have become important targets for therapeutic intervention. Cell-based receptor assays, able to detect agents that modulate receptor activity, are of key importance for drug discovery. We evaluated the potential of cellular electric impedance for this purpose.
