Head-to-head comparison of relative cerebral blood flow derived from dynamic [18F]florbetapir and [18F]flortaucipir PET in subjects with subjective cognitive decline | EJNMMI Research | Full Text
Fifty SCD subjects from the Amsterdam Dementia Cohort [20, 21] and Subjective Cognitive ImpairmENt Cohort (SCIENCe) study [22] were included. A standardized dementia screening was performed for all subjects, including medical history, extensive neuropsychological assessment, physical and neurological examination, lumbar puncture, blood tests, electroencephalography and brain MRI.
APOE-ε4 modulates the association between regional amyloid deposition and cognitive performance in cognitively unimpaired middle-aged individuals - EJNMMI Research
Subjects The ALFA+ cohort is a nested longitudinal study of the ALFA (for ALzheimer and Families) parent cohort [24]. The ALFA parent cohort was established as a research platform to understand the early pathophysiological alterations in preclinical AD and is composed of 2743 CU individuals (between 45 and 75 years) and enriched for family history of AD and genetic risk factors for AD (namely presence of the APOE-ɛ4 allele).
An exploratory clinical study of p38α kinase inhibition in Alzheimer's disease
The aim of this study was to preliminarily evaluate an oral small molecule p38? kinase inhibitor in patients with early Alzheimer's disease (AD) for the effects on brain amyloid plaque load and episodic memory function, and to establish pharmacokinetic–pharmacodynamics correlations if any effects identified on these parameters. Sixteen patients with early AD received a highly selective p38? inhibitor (neflamapimod) for 84 days (12 weeks).
