Advancing efficiency and scalability of thin-film tandem solar cells
This article was previously published in PV Magazine. Current silicon solar cells are nearing their theoretical efficiency limits which is at around 30 percent, and further improvements face substantial costs. However, the combination of different materials holds the promise of more cost-efficiently achieving higher efficiencies.
