Sulfatide inhibits fibroblast growth, activation and oxidative stress induced by ectopic insulin
Viability test The ATP levels in cultured healthy cells remain constant, but when cells become apoptotic or necrotic, their cellular ATP content decreases rapidly. As shown in Figure 1B,C, native sulfatide decreased the growth rate considerably without significantly affecting the ATP content of the cells. The growth rate of sulfatide-stimulated fibroblasts was monitored for 5 days post-sulfatide removal.
