Identification of Sociodemographic and Clinical Factors Influencing the Feeling of Stigmatization in People with Type 1 Diabetes
1. Introduction Type 1 diabetes (T1D) accounts for approximately 10% of all types of diabetes. It mainly occurs in children and young people (of <30 years of age). Currently, type 1 diabetes is diagnosed in 10% of all diabetic patients and is the most common chronic disease of childhood in Poland. In the last 15 years alone, the number of cases in the group of preschool children has risen 4-fold and an increase of about 4% of pediatric patients (developmental age) has been noted each year.
