WILSON, N.C. — Blue skies and favorable temps set the stage for a beautiful morning, as graduates and their families gathered with the Barton College community for the 122nd Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 11. Rick Schlesinger, President of Business Operations for the Milwaukee Brewers, was the featured speaker. His inspirational message focused on four paths that Barton graduates can set and follow as they embark on the next steps of their personal journeys.

WILSON, N.C. — Rick Schlesinger, President of Business Operations for the Milwaukee Brewers, will be the featured speaker at the 122nd annual commencement exercises of Barton College scheduled for this Saturday on the center campus at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Douglas N. Searcy will preside over his ninth commencement program as president of Barton College. Dr. Kevin N. Pennington, vice president for academic affairs, will present the 2024 Class of 256 undergraduate and graduate students.

Oct. 21 (Sat) / 2:00 PM History HICKORY, N.C. – The Barton football team (5-2, 3-2) suffered a 47-3 loss to unbeaten and No. 12 Lenoir-Rhyne (7-0, 5-0) Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference showdown at Moretz Stadium. Lenoir-Rhyne quarterback Jalen Ferguson (Clemmons, N.C.) threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns while the Bears found the end zone on all five possessions in the first half to put the contest away early.
