Supportive care interventions in metastatic bone disease: scoping review
Abstract Background Patients with secondary metastatic involvement of the musculoskeletal system due to primary cancers are a rapidly growing population with significant risks for health-related end-of-life morbidities. In particular, bone metastases or metastatic bone disease (MBD) imparts significant adversity to remaining quality of life. No rigorous review of clinical trials on the use of supportive care interventions for MBD has been conducted.

Abstract To investigate the association of maternal race/ethnicity with risk factors for brachial plexus birth injury (BPBI) and quantify the proportion of excess BPBI risk due to these factors. This retrospective cohort study of all livebirths occurring in California-licensed hospitals from 1996–2012 included 6,278,562 maternal-livebirth infant pairs with 7762 BPBI diagnoses.
