Introduction Emergency Departments (EDs) serve as crucial entry point for immediate and often life-saving medical care. They are essential components of a healthcare system, providing 24-h services for patients with various conditions, ranging from acute medical emergencies to less urgent issues (1). In China, with its vast population exceeding 1.4 billion, EDs take on an even more critical role (2). Therefore, establishing a comprehensive and highly efficient framework for EDs becomes imperative.
