Generated White Light Having Adaptable Chromaticity and Emission, Using Spectrally Reconfigurable Microcavities
1 Introduction White-light-emitting devices (WLED) are being commercialized rapidly because they are indispensable for lighting and for flat-panel display applications, owing to their high efficiency and long service time.[1] Various luminescent materials, including phosphors,[2] semiconductors,[3] inorganic quantum dots,[4] and organic molecules[5] have been employed in WLEDs. Conventional methods of emitting white light (WLE) from luminescent materials involve mainly physical blending or...
Rare‐Earth‐Metal‐Free Solid‐State Fluorescent Carbonized‐Polymer Microspheres for Unclonable Anti‐Counterfeit Whispering‐Gallery Emissions from Red to Near‐Infrared Wavelengths
1 Introduction Carbon dots (CDs) and carbonized polymer dots (CPDs) have emerged as luminescent nanoparticles with singular optical properties, eco-friendly synthesis, and low toxicity.[1] They have attracted great attention in lighting applications due to their excellent biocompatibility, stable emission, and potential to replace costly, toxic semiconductor quantum dots (CdS, CdSe, CdTe, PbS, PbSe etc.), as well as rare earth-doped oxynitride (SiAlON)-based ceramic phosphors.
Combinatorial modulation to augment all-round HER activity of Ru-CrN catalyst
Combinatorial modulation to augment all-round HER activity of Ru-CrN catalyst The proliferation of green technologies to combat the energy crisis has fostered the demand for efficient electrocatalysts towards hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). It is a challenge to realize electrocatalysts with high activity and stability. Herein, we report a combinatorial design strategy by coupling Ru and CrN to boost the HER performance and durability, surpassing pristine Ru/NC, CrN/NC, and even commercial Pt/C.
