The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, on Wednesday called on frontline officers to be offensive in the fight against insecurity rather than remain only reactive. The IGP made the call during an interactive session with officers and men of the Kano State Police Command at the Officers’ Mess in Kano. Represented by the Deputy Inspector-General in-charge of Northwest, Sulaiman Muhammad-Abdul, Disu said when officers fire decisively, it would make bandits have a rethink.

Kano mass wedding to gulp N1.5bn - Hisbah

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Commander General of the board, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Kano ahead of the wedding. Daurawa said the preparation was on top gear with expected couples subjected to screening of HIV and other tests.
