The matchups on courts 3 and 4 were the deciding factors. On court 3 was Lucas Gerch, who entered on an 11-match win streak, and on court 4 was Tristan Meraut, who came in 6-0 in singles play at home. The winning streak for Gerch was not ended because Meraut went on an outstanding run in his second and third sets.
