Easy Sourdough Discard Hamburger Buns

Add warm milk to a large bowl with instant yeast and honey. Whisk until the honey is dissolved and the yeast is combined. Add the melted butter, egg, sourdough discard, all-purpose flour, and salt to the same bowl. Stir well with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms. Turn this rough dough out onto your countertop and begin kneading. You will knead for about 4 to 5 minutes until the dough becomes smooth. Form the dough into a ball, and place it into a lightly greased, large glass bowl.

Get a Feel for The Concepts of Fibervision Artists at Ojai Art Center Textiles Exhibit

Following a one-year hiatus, the artists of Fibervision, a fiber art group from the Santa Barbara area, will again exhibit their work at the Ojai Art Center, Saturday, Dec. 4 through Wednesday, Jan. 5 in the main gallery, 113 S. Montgomery St. Ojai. ‘Not Alive, Not Dead’ by Andi Perejda is made of hand-dyed fabric and painted Pellon. (Andi Perejda) Fibervision comprises 18 artists who create artworks using fabrics as canvas, and dyes, paints and stitching as their mediums.
